Experience

Ms. Gast became associated with the Firm upon her graduation from law school in May of 1997.  Since that time, Ms. Gast has concentrated primarily on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) proceedings involving the restructuring of the California electricity market. Among other things, Ms. Gast has been heavily involved in the numerous California ISO and California PX proceedings for the Firm's California municipal clients. Ms. Gast also advises clients on matters related to energy lawa nd policy and municipal law. Ms. Gast became a shareholder of the Firm in the Fall of 2002.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Gast was employed in 1995 as a law clerk with Preston Gates Ellis & Rouvelas Meeds in Washington, D.C. She worked with senior attorneys on matters in antitrust, copyright infringement, and various lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill. She also assisted in the drafting of several bills that received bipartisan support by the U.S. Congress.
